Dr. Danno Atsushi
Metal & Manufacturing Expert

Dr Danno has over 50 years of research and development experience in high precision bulk-metal forming technology for manufacturing metal components such as rotary forming/ spin forming, forging/ stamping, bending of shapes, forming process of special alloys etc. He joined Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology in Aug 2003 and has been engaged in R&D on the forming technology (e.g., spin forming, micro metal forming and stamping / cold forging) as a Senior Scientist and Metal & Manufacturing Expert (Metal forming) of PE COI (Precision Engineering Center of Innovation).

Prior to joining SIMTech, Danno graduated from Nagoya Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and joined Toyota Central Res. and Develop. Labs.(Toyota CRDL, Japan) in 1964. He was the director and board member of Toyota CRDL from 1995 to 2001. He was the director of The Society for Technology of Plasticity (JSTP) in 1996-1998, and a vice president of The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) in 1999-2000. He authored or co-authored more than 60 original technical papers and held more than 25 patents on metal forming technology. He is a member of JSTP, JSME and Society of Automotive Engineer of Japan (SAEJ). He received the JSTP Award for his papers in 1969, 1988, 1994 and AIDA Technical Award of JSTP for his R&D work on precision forging and form rolling technologies in 2000. He was granted a doctor degree of engineering (Material) from Osaka University (Osaka, Japan) with his dissertation on the hot form-rolling (Cross Wedge Rolling) of stepped steel shafts in 1981. Alan Lui
Casting Expert

Started working as an Aluminium diecasting engineer from the year of 1980 and went on to become a master die-caster by holding several key positions in the Industry until 2013. He worked with Rollei, Precision die casting, Tandon, Dynacast, PCA, STX precision die casting and Cam Mechatronics. He has deep knowledge with the following brands of machines - Idra, Buhler, Toshiba, Toyo, UBE & Zitai, ranging from 90 Ton to 1250 Ton machine. He has worked extensively with customers from Automotive, Computers, and Telecommunication industries. With his extensive knowledge, in year of 2014, Alan decided help die cast machine manufacturers to enhance the machine performance by integrating and improving further with the auto accessories and provide the right combination of hard and software to cast good products with high yield. Currently Alan Lui is a Casting Expert at ITEC.

Alex Koh
Aerospace Engineering Expert

Alex Koh has extensive working experience of 30 years in the Asia Pacific region. He started working for the precision engineering industry in the early day of his career as Sales and/or Project Manager in a few multi-national companies in precision measuring instrument, precision casting & metal machining, tools/die making & plastic moulding, precision spring & metal stamping and fasteners.

He has developed good technical knowledge of various metal forming process and its application for the electronics, consumer, IT computer, telecom, automotive, military and medical devices.

Alex has developed good supply chain knowledge and networks in Asia during his Sales/Business Development/Project Manager role in Dynacast, Kyocera Elco, Associated Spring and Unisteel and a valuable experience to advise and assist customers in projects, quality and procurement.

In the second part of his career, Alex served in the Marine & Offshore, Oil & Gas and Maritime as Senior Director with Profit and Loss responsibility, including the operations, logistics, procurement, aftermarket services, workshop, production, HR and finance responsibilities.

His last job was with Rolls -Royce as Vice President Marine of Asia region and he now manages his trading company in water treatment system and equipment.

Alex graduated with Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic and Degree in Marketing from CIM UK. He also holds an MBA from Manchester Business School, Graduate Diploma from SIM and Diploma in Marketing Management from Ngee Ann Polytechinc.

Sheriff Babu
Managing Director

Sheriff served as the Executive Vice President of Asia Pacific with full P&L responsibility, at Dynacast International Inc. until November 2017. He then went on to be the Group director for South east Asia until March 2019. Sheriff enjoyed a long and varied career with Dynacast, beginning back in 1985, when he joined the parent company of Dynacast – Coats UK – as a Management Trainee. Sheriff was then transferred to Dynacast UK soon after his training in Coats India. After gaining experience in the UK market for two years, he moved to Dynacast Singapore in 1990 as a Sales Engineer. In 1996, he became the first Operational Manager of Dynacast Melaka, where he was instrumental in setting up the Melaka plant. He was then promoted to General Manager of Dynacast Singapore and Dynacast Melaka in 2000 with full P&L responsibility. Under his management and guidance both Singapore and Melaka grew significantly and Dynacast expanded into Indonesia in 2009. He served as General Manager and Director for Dynacast Singapore, Dynacast Malaysia and Dynacast Indonesia until July 2014. In August 2014, Sheriff was promoted to be the EVP of the Asia Pacific Region for Dynacast International. He was actively working to grow Dynacast’s share of the market in the region by working directly with several fortune 500 companies such as, Denso, Avago, Motorola, Apple, Honda, Microsoft, Finisar, Sanwa, Continental, Dyson to name a few.

Sheriff graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from, Indian Institute of Technology – Madras. He also holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore. Sheriff was located and worked in 5 different countries ( UK, India, Singapore , Malaysia , New Zealand ) in the last 25 years and has direct working relationships with customers from North America, European Union, UK, Japan, China, ASEAN, India and Mexico. Currently Sheriff is a Director and Managing Consultant at ITEC. He is also a part time faculty in Nanyang Business School at Nanyang Technological University - Singapore.

Christoph Runtsch
European Business Consultant

Christoph has over 30 years of experience and competence in metal production and metal working in the European union. Christoph is a trained precision mechanic and watchmaker. He has extensive experience in automation technology as well as Precision mould and Tool making. His deep technical knowledge in the precision engineering Industry lead him to be a successful project manager and subsequently become the VP of Sales for Dynacast International Inc for Europe. Christoph has founded his own consulting company in Europe to help experts in Engineering ( http://www.metaltech.at/). Currently Christoph Runtsch is an European Business Consultant at ITEC.

Loganathan Muniandy
Machines Expert

Logan started his career as R&D Mechanical Engineer in Panasonic Communication. He Has 17 years’ experience in managing metal commodity in Panasonic, Flextronics and Motorola. He was managing metal categories for Olivetti and Oce’ Technology during his career in Flextronics. Logan then joined Motorola as Supplier Development Engineer managing diecasting commodity in Asia. He was then promoted to Global Commodity Manager for diecasting, managing Motorola suppliers globally. Logan has extensive experience in product development, quality management, supplier development and procurement. Logan travelled globally to diecasting manufacturers for supplier’s development and sourcing during his career in Motorola.

Logan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in Technology University of Malaysia. He also holds an MBA from the Northern University of Malaysia. Currently Loganathan Muniandy is a Machines Expert at ITEC.

Bill Heilman
Sales Director

As Sales Director for ITEC, I lead sales strategies across North America and Asia, driving growth and building strong client relationships. Before joining ITEC, I held multiple leadership roles at Dynacast International, a global leader in high-pressure die casting with operations in North America, Asia, and Europe. Starting at Dynacast in 1999 as Business Development Engineer, I moved into other roles such as Vice President of Sales for North America, Sales Director for Asia, and Global Business Development Manager, gaining extensive experience in international markets and strategic sales.

Also in my career, I was Vice President of Sales at Connor Corp, overseeing the supply of mechanical components manufactured in Asia for North American markets. Additionally, I worked as a mechanical engineer and sales engineer at Helm Instrument, specializing in force measurement systems for die casting, forging, and stamping industries.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo and am passionate about leveraging my technical expertise and global experience to deliver value to clients and stakeholders.

Swan Choo
Automation & Secondary Process Expert

Swan Choo started her carrier as a technician in Seiko Watch Company in Singapore and in two years she became the quality instructor for the assembly line. She then went to study Machine Maintenance for a couple of years and joined Shimano Singapore as a maintenance Technician. Two years later, she joined Singapore Technologies as a quality engineer. After several Years, She became a quality engineer in Dynacast Singapore. She was promoted in a short time to be the Supplier Quality Engineer for all the Electro plating suppliers in the Region.

She then grew steadily to become the Process engineer for Precision Die-casting and Secondary processes in Dynacast Singapore. In 2008, She lead the entire secondary operation department where she implemented lean manufacturing concepts and automated several manual processes and reduced the dependency of manual work. In 2010 Swan Choo Joined Ngee Ann Polytechnic and studied for a Diploma in Mechatronics while still handling several major Automation projects in Dynacast. In 2013, she graduated from NYP with a Diploma in Mechatronics. She was then promoted to become the Project engineer in the Engineering and Product Development department and handled several major projects with the top 10 customers of Dynacast.

She also played a Key role in assisting the General Manager in annual price Negotiations with all the Suppliers. In 2015, Swan Choo was promoted to become Assistant Project Manager and continued to handle the toughest programs with Top 10 customers. She continued to assist the GM in costing and price negotiations. Swan Choo is now an Automation & Secondary Process Expert at ITEC.
